How we do it
We promote London across the world and attract overseas companies, talent, events and visitors to the capital.
As the official visitor's guide to London, our Visit London channels inspires millions of visitors each year to plan a trip to the capital. Our work also includes creating award-winning marketing campaigns such as Let's Do London and leading on the capital's strategy as a world-leading destination.
Grow London helps London companies expand internationally, and supports London's large and diverse small business community.
We do this by persuading international companies to set up and grow in London via our foreign direct investment (FDI) work, connecting our sector communities through curated events including London Tech Week, and helping London companies to go global with the help of our Grow London Global programme.
The Innovation Fellowship brings together world-leading corporate executives to unlock their innovation potential and enhance corporate strategies, while our Early Stage programmes nurture London’s startup community in high-growth sectors and MedCity supercharges the life sciences ecosystem in London.
Our Grow London Local support helps local businesses to thrive by providing one place to find all the support they need to help them grow their small business in London.
Our London Convention Bureau and Major Events teams help secure business, major sporting and cultural events in London. We also create partnerships and commercial opportunities to scale our economic impact, including the .LONDON web address which is the official domain name for London.
This is alongside a focus on driving capital investment for London across real estate, regeneration, infrastructure and energy through our Opportunity London work.
We measure the impact of our work through the additional economic benefits that are directly attributable to our activities. Our key performance indicators are gross value added (GVA), jobs created or supported and positive international media coverage.
