Travel Trade Overview
Tracing a journey from the shipworms that inspired Brunel to the islands created by Crossrail, ICE is digging into the dark and wonderful world of tunnel engineering.
For six months from May to November 2017 the state-of-the-art Infrastructure Learning Hub will transport
visitors to the oldest, deepest, longest tunnels in the world, shedding light on the extraordinary engineering involved, inspiring the next generation of engineers and exploring the effects tunnels have on our lives.
Interactive – virtual reality, gaming and LEGO® kits invite visitors to get hands-on.
Visual – our timeline tells the story of the great tunnels of the world with stunning photography.
Informative – whether you follow the Little Giant tour for children or delve into the technical specifications.
Inspiring – from the chance to see Crossrail on the big screen to quizzes on what kind of engineer you are, the exhibition is full of learning, insights and excitement.
