Travel Trade Overview

The Museum explores the powerful link between transport and the growth of modern London, its culture and society since 1800.

Highlights include the iconic red London bus, the world’s first Underground steam train and the padded cell – a train carriage dating back to the 1890s.

The Museum’s store at Acton in West London offers special pre-booked behind-the-scenes tours for groups. There are two to choose from: The Introductory and The Art and Poster Stores.

At the Covent Garden site there is a special group entrance and individuals can make their own way around the Museum. An indoor picnic area is available at selected times. Discounts for groups of 10 or more people.
