Yammer Expands in Heart of London's Tech City

Yammer, a leading provider of Enterprise Social Networks, is today announcing a move to larger premises in the heart of London’s Tech City as a result of the growth of the EMEA team and addition of a new developer centre, the first located outside the San Francisco headquarters.

As proof of the attraction of East London’s tech cluster Yammer, recently acquired by Microsoft, will occupy three floors in the heart of London’s vibrant technology centre.

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson, said: “Yammer’s expansion in Tech City underlines again London's position as Europe's digital capital. London is a global magnet for high tech giants alongside a growing cluster of exciting start ups. This sector's burgeoning growth is providing high value jobs for Londoners, as well supporting valuable supply chains. This all demonstrates the attractiveness of London as the world's leading 21st century business city and a great place to invest.”

Georg Ell, EMEA general manager for Yammer, said: “This move is a significant sign of the appetite for enterprise social networking and collaboration tools in the UK and EMEA at the moment. Yammer arrived in London just 16 months ago and already we have grown the team from three to 85. Also, the new developer centre is a signal of the company’s commitment to Tech City and continued investment in Europe and the UK in particular.”

HRH Prince Andrew, The Duke of York will officially open the new office in a ceremony on Tuesday, 18th September attended by Yammer co-founder and CTO Adam Pisoni, chief customer officer David Obrand, Yammer customers and partners, and representatives from other businesses in the Tech City area.
