London & Partners hosted an amazing evening of entertainment and networking for the capital’s travel trade to toast the summer’s success and look forward to 2013 and beyond.
The event, supported by ABTA Magazine, made, MAMMA MIA! and Planet Hollywood was organised by the Mayor’s promotional organisation for London as a way to bring key stakeholders from the industry together to celebrate the culmination of many years’ hard work to deliver a Games hailed as the ‘best ever’.
Hundreds from the industry including top domestic coach operators, group travel organisers and the London travel trade were treated to a wonderful set from Claire Poyzer, currently starring as Donna in the smash-hit musical MAMMA MIA! at the Novello Theatre, to kick the night off on a high note.
Industry Relations and UK Leisure Tourism Marketing Manager for London & Partners, Louisa Jackley, said: “The evening was a fantastic opportunity to meet new colleagues within our industry, including key stakeholders, operators, suppliers and of course the London travel trade but most of all, a chance for us to celebrate the achievements of this summer.
“London has experienced an incredible year like no other, after the success of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations and Olympic and Paralympic Games. There is much to be proud of and to build on but the best is yet to come as we work hard to convert viewers into visitors in 2013 and beyond.”
