'Snap up a late summer bargain' Mayor tells Londoners

With two weeks left of the school summer holidays the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson is urging Londoners and visitors to the capital to get out and take advantage of the  hundreds of amazing offers available from the capital's top attractions, restaurants and hotels.

The Mayor today visited the new shark tank at the Sea Life London Aquarium, which is participating in the 2 for 1 offer.

Organised by his official promotional agency, London  & Partners working with the capital's tourist industry, the Mayor wants everyone to be able to soak up the atmosphere of the city as it gears up to celebrate the 2012 Paralympic Games.

Great 2 for 1 deals are available for the next few weeks to some of the capital's top attractions including the EDF Energy London Eye, Madame Tussauds and the British Museum as well as to Late Night London clubs all currently available from visitlondon.com.

The 2 for 1 offers are available to all Oyster Card holders after Transport for London teamed up with London & Partners to be part of their Late Summer Deals promotion. Just showing your Oyster Card or Freedom Pass gains admission to scores of London attractions at a huge discount.

In addition, there are money-off deals at a range of leading hotels including Travelodge, Hilton Hotels and many more. These include Premier Inn, which just this week announced it was releasing 29,000 rooms for £49 a night and Hilton Hotels offering up to 40 per cent off their London rooms. Thistle Hotels are offering discounts of up to 50 per cent and you can stay at a Travelodge for just over £25.00 a night.

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson said: ‘London boasts the best shops, restaurants, theatres, museums and attractions on the planet. There really has never been a better time to explore our great city and with these fantastic offers now available I would urge everyone to get out and about and enjoy the unrivalled brilliance of the capital."
