Last night London won the accolade of the World's Best City at the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Awards 2012 in Spain.
London took the top spot in the reader nominated awards ceremony at the beautiful Jardines de Cecilio Rodríguez in Madrid.
The award from the readers of one of Spain's most popular travel magazines comes hot on the heels of the recent International Passenger Survey figures, which revealed Spanish visitors to the capital had increased year on year by 7.5%.
Commenting on the capital's success, London & Partners CEO Gordon Innes said: "This award couldn't have come in a better year for the capital. There is so much on offer in the run up to a magical summer and the whole city is working hard to ensure travellers have a great time. This award is another prestigious accolade for the London."
