Bespoke East London Destination Guide to be launched on London & Partners stand F400
London & Partners brings together London's promotional activity in tourism, inward investment and higher education, incorporating the previous agencies of Visit London, Think London and Study London. The new agency will continue Visit London's work as the official convention bureau and event solutions service for the city.
With the 1 year countdown to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games fast approaching, the theme on the London stand will be "Business as usual", as London & Partners send the message that the city is open and ready to welcome business travellers, associations and groups throughout 2011, 2012 and beyond.
The trade event comes as London & Partners celebrate fantastic year-end results for 2010 as business trips to the capital rose by 7.6% to 2.75 million. German business visitors saw the biggest rise, with a whopping 39.2% rise while business expenditure overall also saw a boost, gaining 14.8% on 2009 figures to reach £2.23 billion.
"The results are extremely promising ahead of what is sure to be an exciting year" commented Barbara Jamison, London & Partners Head of Business Development Europe. "We are pleased that so many of our partners can join us at IMEX to communicate our message that London is open for business both pre and post Olympic Games. We are also keen to drive home the message that London is the world’s best destination for business because it provides event organisers with the three As: it's accessible, affordable and acceptable."
