London has hosted the Masters at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park since 2014. As one of the most prestigious events on the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour, the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters invites the top eight men and women along with the top six quads for the official ITF year-end wheelchair singles championship. The round robin format, akin to the ATP World Tour Finals and WTA Finals, guarantees a player must face at least four of the top eight players in the world to gain the title.
What we did
1/ The team provided strategic insight into running an event in London from advising on ticketing strategy, marketing through to event delivery.
2/ Through our Visit London digital channels we promote to International and domestic audiences.
3/ In 2016 we wanted to share the event with new audiences so commissioned social media content for the first time. We pushed out the best of the days play through shareable match highlights and went behind the scenes for film ‘insider’ content such as Q&As with players, the mannequin challenge and what’s in my bag exclusives
