Prepare Your Business for the Games

The Games will affect businesses across the city in a variety of ways, from transport logistics to operational planning. Plan ahead to make sure your business is ready

In summer 2012 London will host more than 17,000 athletes, 20,000 media professionals and a huge influx of visitors from around the world. Although this presents a tremendous opportunity for business, it is not without challenges.

The Mayor of London and other partners are planning and reworking the transport, technology, operations and all other infrastructure required to keep the city moving during the Games. Your business could be affected by these changes. Are you aware of the potential impact on your business and are you prepared?

Planning Your Business Requirements

The impact of the Games on businesses across the UK will vary greatly, depending on size, industry and location, and understanding this is an important first step in Games readiness.

We encourage businesses to start planning their requirements for operations (deliveries/collections), people (staffing levels, staff travel) and infrastructure (technology, facilities) as early as possible.

London 2012 organises regular area-specific workshops offering support and guidance to businesses. Detailed advice, planning tools, maps and workshop information is available on the London 2012 website and through Transport for London.
